How our points system works, what makes a review worth upvoting, and how to place in the quarterly prize pool.
Every review you post inside Fiction Addicts Anonymous earns points. The base award is the same for everyone; the rest comes from the effort you put in.
Where points come from
A review earns a base award, more for length and detail, and more again each time another member upvotes it. Reviews left outside the platform do not count toward your total.
What a strong review contains
Open with the hook that made you pick the book up. Name the tropes it delivers on. Be specific about pacing, voice and characters. Flag content that other readers should know about, without spoiling the plot. Close with who you would hand it to.
Keep your claim slots open
You can hold three ARCs and one beta at once. Reviewing releases the slot, so steady reviewers always have something new to read.
The quarterly prize pool
At the end of each quarter the top-scoring reviewer takes the prize pool. Consistency beats one long review.
